As I grind my beans and wait for my coffee to brew, I came across a post of an old friend, and it reminded me of of times that I would like to forget, but had to learn from. As I’m waiting these thoughts came to me so ,I thought I would share them with you.
No matter how many times people have cursed my efforts with the words “it won’t work” “no one is going to invest in…” No matter how many times I have had my ideas stolen, and people run off with the profits of my “sweat-equity” I keep going.
I realize that I may not reach the success level of those who stole my intellectual property and prospered. I may not look like the success story we are use to in America. But I will have the value of Authenticity and integrity to my name. I am already successful at what I do, because it was an original idea when I began. Never let those who may outrun you, or “out rank” you stop you from being the original you, you were created to be. Run the race with patience.

I remember picking out, and buying my dad ties, well mom bought them, we just wrapped them and gave them to dad for Father’s Day. When I reflect on the ties collected…
Today is a day that many influencers make jokes about, being underrated and underestimated. Many even joke about Father’s Day being about dad and his wallet.
While every joke may contain some truth, we want to highlight the unsung heroes of the “unsung” holiday. Thank you to the single mother’s who have to hustle to make ends meet, who struggle to coordinate basketball and football schedules, between schoolwork, laundry, skinned knees and family dinners, who show up to be both coach and comforter. Thank You to the single dads who are defeating the deafening silence, stereotypes have placed you in, and speaking loudly, to those who need it most…you are present, you show up every day. You understand what it takes to carry a soul to each designated finish line in life…Highschool and beyond.
