Get ready for an epic showdown! Our Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament is happening Friday, March 6th at 5:30PM, and we want YOU and YOUR student to be part of the fun!
Before we jump in, we want to acknowledge that many of our families were impacted by last week’s winter storm. We know that missed work and lost wages can create real financial stress, and we want you to know that we see that and truly understand. Please know that participation in this fundraiser looks different for every family—there is absolutely no pressure to give beyond what feels right for you.
This event is about community, connection, and creativity, not just dollars raised. One of the best ways to support the fundraiser—especially if giving financially isn’t feasible right now—is by simply registering your child for the fun and sharing their fundraising page. The more you share with friends, family, and your wider circle, the more others can give on your child’s behalf.
The Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament is a fundraiser to support Richardson Terrace Elementary, and we need YOUR help to reach our $10,000 school goal!
How It Works:
✔️ Students collect donations to support their school.
✔️ Players participate in battles with others in an RPS match!
✔️ The player with the most wins at the end wins will be named the RPS Champion!
Set Up Your Child’s Fundraising Page TODAY!
It’s super easy to participate—just register your student and start collecting donations:

Richardson Terrace Elementary PTA Presents: School Made Simple Series
School Made Simple is a four-part conversation series designed to help parents understand how the school system works and what it means for their child. Each session is a chance to learn the “ins and outs” of school life, meet with Mrs. Zupa and Counselor Blevins, and ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask.
We know that schools can feel overwhelming or confusing at times—this series is designed to give you clarity, confidence, and connection. Plus, your feedback will help shape the topics we cover next.
Session 1
A Day in the Life of Your Child
Friday, September 12th | 9:30–10:15 AM | Teacher’s Lounge
Start your morning with coffee, conversation, and connection! In this first session, Mrs. Zupa and Counselor Blevins will walk you through what a typical school day looks like for your child, from learning and homework to teacher support, English language support, buses, school meals, and so much more!
Why come? Because when you understand how school works, you can better support your child and feel more at home in the school community.
Please bring your questions! We want to hear what matters most to you as we build out future sessions.
If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help with this, please reach out to [email protected]
