PL Prep PTA

Another outstanding Field Day in the books! As always Coach did an excellent job planning the day of fun. Thanks to elementary Penny Wars, PTA was able to sponsor the Trike Race Track and Ruby’s Sno-balls for all elementary students, teachers, and volunteers!

We tried to help students express their love and appreciation to some of the most important people in their young lives. Most knew exactly who to give their papers to, some had to think first, but they all ended with smiles and hugs.

Day 4 of Teacher/Staff Appreciation. Our school grownups got hot breakfast biscuits, fresh fruit, and energy drinks thanks to the Scott family! We appreciate everyone who makes this school a place we want our kids to be a part of and learn from and we hope this week filled your hearts, minds, and bellies! ❤️

Day 3 of Teacher and Staff Appreciation was Make your own sub (sandwich). Everyone got a lunch made the way they like it!

Day 1 of PL Prep teacher/staff appreciation. PL Prep PTA treated all staff who work hard to care for, teach, and nourish our kids to a hot taco cart lunch from Tacos Elisa.

Thank you to all of our Phoenix families for keeping our school community together! It was a great event and we would like to thank all of our friends and supporters who make this what it is each year! If approved by voters, the proposed bond would:
Build 26 new replacement schools
Provide renovations and upgrades at all campuses
Remove all remaining portable classrooms
Implement safety and security upgrades districtwide
Upgrade student technology
Redirect resources back to classrooms by refinancing loan
Repair the district’s swimming pools

The proposal was developed with input from a citizens steering committee and includes multiple propositions for voters to consider.

Early voting is April 20, 2026 through April 28, 2026.
Election day is Saturday, May 2, 2026.

This year's Penny Wars winner is Team Sour Patch Kids (Third grade)! This group worked as a team and quite a few families came together and gave them a big lead. Second grade gave a good fight but ultimately the numbers didn't catch up. Thank you to all our Phoenix families for helping your kiddos participate, this will make for a great Field Day in our new campus!

Middle School had a clear winner in Team KitKat (6th grade)!

Wednesday's Penny Wars results are in, and Team Starburst (2nd grade) took the lead again with some big bill action today! Second place went to Team Sour Patch Kids (3rd grade) partly thanks to a HUGE penny deposit early this morning. Team Jolly Rancher (1st grade) came in third place as a result of a hefty attack by the other grades. Sneak attack was posted earlier for tomorrow, so it is still anyone's game...

Middle School had a little action but the leaderboard placements stayed the same with Team KitKat (6th grade) in First place, Team Crunch (8th grade) in Second place and Team M&Ms (7th grade) in Third place!

We have extended the dates for Raise Craze. If you haven’t already, please register! Last year we had 136 students participate, this year so far, it is 41! We know that we can reach our goals if we can get our entire school on board! If everyone does a little, It makes a big difference!
