Music Activities Center (MAC) Timelapse 09/05/2019

The Grand Opening of the Music Activities Center last Friday was a huge success. The number of attendees far exceeded their initial projections. While there I visited with John Percifield, Henry Potter, James Byrom and John White but may have missed other Class of 1963 Band members in attendance. We saw the practice room with our plaque outside, even talked to a current Aggie Band member who has used a practice room – what a novel idea, practice. Linda and I walked the halls and out on the practice field. It is special but I have a strong attachment to the memories of our 4th floor band hall and practice field with the mud and ruts.

We received the following Thank You email with a couple videos from our Corps contact at the Foundation.

Howdy!

I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for making such a big impact on the Music Activities Center. I really enjoyed playing a part in helping to make your gift a reality. I realize that this Friday’s festivities will be on a grand scale with literally hundreds of people attending, so I wanted to use this email to share my personal thankfulness toward your commitment to Texas A&M and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.

I have attached two videos for you. One is a time lapse of the construction, which I found to be very interesting, and then the other video is updated drone footage that was shot this past June.
