YOUR NEXT FAVORITE BRAND MIGHT BE WOMAN-OWNED.

And this October, we want to help you find her. 🎉

Fork and Femme is built around a pretty simple idea: one of the most powerful ways we can support woman-owned businesses is to spend money with them.

Where we choose to shop, eat, book, buy and hire matters. When we spend with a woman-owned business, that money doesn't just stop there. It keeps moving. It can help her hire someone, work with another small business, open another location, invest back into her community or simply keep building.

That's why where we spend matters.

On October 21, we're doing exactly that and going after our biggest goal yet: $250,000 spent with HER.

So, how can you make an impact?

1. Sign up for Fork and Femme. It's FREE: https://lnkd.in/gREEPfKk

You'll get everything you need to participate, including instructions for tracking your spending on October 21 and join a community of people across Texas who love showing up for woman-owned businesses with their dollars.

2. Own a woman-owned business? Add it to the Official Fork and Femme Guide:
https://tally.so/r/5Bopbv

The Guide drops Friday, October 2 and will help our community discover where they can shop, eat, book, buy and hire ahead of Fork and Femme Day.

3. Host an event in your community and shine a light on a local business - https://tally.so/r/jaXQ84

4. Start building your October 21 spend plan.
Think about the things you're already going to spend money on that day and where you could intentionally choose a woman-owned business instead.

⭐ A BRAND TO WATCH: Blume Bakery is a woman-owned bakery creating dairy-free, egg-free treats made with quality organic ingredients. Founder Jennifer Robertson launched Blume in 2024, inspired by her love of baking and in honor of her late mother, Ruby, who first inspired her in the kitchen.

It all started with Blume’s Signature Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie and a simple belief: you shouldn’t have to compromise on indulgence just because you’re dairy-free.

Scenes from HER Texas House

This July, we took over Marca Brava Spirits in Dallas for four days and turned it into HER Texas House — a place for big convos, hands-on sessions powered by Party Geenius, new connections and a really good happy hour powered by Island Getaway Rum.

One of our favorite things about the House was just how much was happening under one roof.

A powerful conversation on venture capital and fundraising powered by Kiln.

Learning more about one of the most valuable resources for women entrepreneurs in the state - TWU-Center for Women Entrepreneurs.

An opportunity to explore and directly support some of the best and brightest woman-owned businesses in Texas (pictured here Cool Crayations LLC and Zafiro Jewelry).

A fireside chat we won't soon forget on the economic impact of human trafficking with Bianca Davis, CEO New Friends New Life

And incredible attendees from around the state filled the space and made the House truly feel like home.

That mix was very intentional.

The goal?
Come learn something. Meet someone. Discover a new business. Get connected to a resource. Stay awhile.

That’s the House. 💯

A little look back at our HER Texas Community Day in Dallas last week! We kicked off the morning with class at Oak Cliff Pilates and then headed to HG Sply Co. for lunch.

An amazing day to get some movement in and catch up with some of our members. We need more days like this. 🤍

“I got my start by giving myself a start.” — Madam C.J. Walker, entrepreneur, philanthropist and one of America’s first self-made women millionaires

Sometimes the opportunity you're waiting for is the one you have to create for yourself.

Madam C.J. Walker built her business at a time when the odds were stacked heavily against her. She didn't begin with wealth, access or a perfect set of circumstances. She began by starting.

There's something powerful in that reminder.

You don't need everything figured out to take the first step. Make the call. Start building. Test the idea. Put your name forward. Give yourself the opportunity you've been waiting for someone else to give you.

This week, give yourself a start.
