I want to ask you a bit of trivia: do you know this fun fact? As you know, it is incredibly difficult to be drafted in the NBA and NFL. It is very rare for two athletes to be drafted in two different sports when they:
1) grew up in the same project building in Little Rock, AR
2) attended the same high school in Little Rock
3) one was the basketball player of the year in the state of Arkansas, and the other was the athlete of the year for the state of Arkansas as a junior in high school
4) one player was drafted in the NFL in the 70's, and the other was drafted 2 years later by the NBA

Sometimes we don't take ownership of our goals and destiny. We do okay when the stars are in alignment. We do great when others are pulling for us. Or when the environment is convenient and comfortable. But when we are uncomfortable or inconvenienced, we struggle with starting our engines. In the solitude of facing that challenge, we procrastinate. This morning, with the weather being wet and 41 degrees, I decided to push the envelope. I am 100 percent southern. I love the warm weather and sunny skies. I challenged myself to continue my daily routine of a hot whirlpool followed by a cold plunge despite the unpleasant, uncomfortable weather. The hot whirlpool at 100 plus degrees was easy since it was cold and wet outside. However, the 45-degree cold plunge was a different story. I decided it was my goal to achieve, and I expected to be uncomfortable, so I mentally prepared myself to not flinch or hesitate. I went from the hot water to the cold water without missing a beat. My goal and destiny were in my hands. It was mine to seize! Yours is there for you. Don't flinch, have fear, or procrastinate. You can just SEIZE It..... Go GRIT It..

This is one time when you hear the phrase by an older person,"I remember when" I am starting to relate.
