How often are you bringing up college + career with your teen?
Be honest…
If it’s more than once a week, it might be too much.
Constant conversations can start to feel like pressure…
and pressure usually leads to shutdown.
Try this instead:
Pick one day a week.
Come in with one topic.
Have the conversation…then let it go.
And here’s the important part:
If they come to you? Great. Lean in.
If they don’t? Give them space to think.
They don’t need reminders 24/7. They need room to figure it out.
👇 Parents, what’s been working (or not working) for you?

Most resumes don’t get rejected because of lack of experience.
They get rejected because they make no sense.
That’s the part parents don’t see.
A lot of teens and young adults are applying to jobs with resumes that look “fine”…
But there’s no direction.
No story.
No clear next step.
And hiring managers can tell immediately.
Today, it’s not about:
“What have you done?”
It’s about:
“Does this make sense for what I want next?”
If that answer isn’t clear…then the resume isn't clear either.
So Parents, have you had this conversation with your kid yet?

YES or NOT YET

“I just want my kid to feel confident about their future.”
That’s what most parents are really saying.
Not perfect.
Not prestigious.
Not figured out overnight.
Just…confident.
Before working with me, Jason felt unsure about his future.
Now?
Clear.
Confident.
And finally has direction.
That doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens when someone helps your teen/young adult:
✔ Understand their strengths
✔ Explore real career options
✔ Build confidence in their decisions
Parents, where is your kid right now?
If you’re tired of guessing how to help your kid, I'm here to guide you.
Companies are now hiring soft skills coaches.
Let that sink in.
This used to be learned naturally…
Through part-time jobs.
Through real responsibility.
Through dealing with people.
But a lot of teens aren’t getting that experience anymore.
So now?
Companies have to teach:
How to communicate
How to solve problems
How to work with others
Parents...is your teen building these skills yet?
Comment with the letter 👇
A - Yes, they’ve had real work experience
B - Not yet, but we’re working on it
C - Not really
D - I’m not sure where to start

If your teen or young adult doesn’t have a LinkedIn yet…they’re already behind.
Not because they need a job today...
but because opportunities start before they’re ready.
Internships. Connections. First impressions.
It’s all happening online.
A strong LinkedIn profile helps them:
→ Get noticed earlier
→ Build real connections
→ Stand out (without sending 100 applications later)
I made it simple 👇

Most parents ask:
“What do you want to be?”
Try this instead 👇
“What would you do if no one was making you do anything?”
Then look for 2 things:
→ What they enjoy
→ What they’re good at
That overlap = direction.
Because your kid doesn’t need more pressure…
they need clarity.
👇 Drop ONE thing your kid naturally gravitates toward (no overthinking)
For my 20-somethings & parents of 20-somethings...
Getting a job right now can feel…really hard.
Most people are told to:
“Just apply to more jobs.”
But that usually isn’t the real problem.
Before sending out 100 applications, start with this:
1️⃣ Get clear on what kinds of roles actually interest you.
2️⃣ Talk to people already doing the job you want.
3️⃣ Learn the AI tools being used in that industry and add them to your skillset.
Clarity + connections + relevant skills can make a huge difference in a job search.

For years, the message was simple:
Graduate.
Go to college.
Get a good job.
But not every student fits that path.
And forcing the wrong path can leave a young person feeling lost, discouraged, or like they’re already behind.
The real goal isn’t “college or not.”
The real goal is helping a young person figure out:
• what they’re good at
• what kind of work fits them
• what direction makes sense for their life
Because when a student understands who they are, the path becomes much clearer.
Parents — I’m curious:
Where is your teen right now? Clear direction or still figuring it out?

Not every student needs to go to college.
But every student does need a plan.
There are so many paths to a successful career today:
• college
• trade schools
• certifications
• entrepreneurship
• hands-on careers
The key is figuring out which path fits the student.
Most of the parents I talk to just want their child to feel confident about their future.
Parents — be honest:
Do you feel like your teen has a clear direction after high school?

Seriously, LAST CHANCE.
Once your student chooses a major without clarity,
they’re not just picking classes...
They’re choosing:
• where their time goes
• what opportunities they see
• and how confident they feel moving forward
Most students don’t need more options.
They need direction.
That’s exactly what we do inside Pick the RIGHT Major.
We help them understand:
✔ what they’re naturally good at
✔ what actually fits them (not their friends)
✔ and how to make a decision they won’t regret later
Doors are closing soon.
If your student is still unsure…now is the moment to fix that.
Class starts TOMORROW.

Most college grads don’t regret going to college…
They regret going without direction.
They say things like:
“I wish I knew this in high school.”
“I would’ve chosen differently.”
“I wasted time figuring it out too late.”
And here’s the part no one likes to admit:
👉 That confusion usually starts before college.
Parents—this is where you come in.
If your teen doesn’t know:
• what they’re good at
• what energizes them
• what careers actually fit them
…then they’re guessing.
And guessing gets expensive. (Time, money, confidence.)
There’s a better way than “just pick something and hope it works.”
Help them get clear before they commit.
✨ That’s exactly what we do inside Pick the RIGHT Major.

Watching your teen struggle with their future is hard.
You want to help…
but you’re not always sure what to say or where to start.
What most students really need isn’t pressure.
They need clarity.
Clarity about:
• who they are
• what they’re good at
• what direction fits them best
Once that clicks, everything else gets easier.
