New America just released a major national survey of parents with young children, and the findings echo exactly what Montessori educators have always believed: children thrive when they have quality time, consistency, and care that respects their developmental needs.
A few findings that stood out to us:
📌 72% of parents want more quality time with their children — but money and work demands get in the way.
📌 Parents' ideal child care setups vary widely — there's no one-size-fits-all answer.
📌 Cost is the #1 barrier keeping families from the child care arrangement they actually want.
