Downwinders at Risk

Downwinders is happy to announce our new 6 week training course called CommUniversity! This course is designed to build the EJ Leaders of tomorrow. We will be providing all of the necessary information to help you build campaigns that better the air quality for at risk communities and our entire region. We invite all to apply to the course and gain the skills necessary to fight for EJ like a Downwinder!

Here are the details:

📅 The 6 week CommUniversity course begins Wednesday February 18th through March 25

📍Classes will meet every Wednesday from 6-8pm at Good CoWorking (1808 S Good Latimer Expy)

📣 The standard rate for this class is $150, our Community Rate is $50 (SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE

Another December Event! Come join us Saturday, December 13th from 12-3pm at Pegasus City Brewery for a viewing of the Toxic Twins Documentary. This will be a deep dive into the history of Joppa and West Dallas's struggle against two asphalt shingle facilities, TAMKO and GAF. Come learn how pollution from these facilities is impacting two communities right here in Dallas and how we can improve environmental conditions in our city.

This North Texas Giving Day, our environment and democracy need your support more than ever.
