All aboard some train related vocab!

1. Station (駅 - えき - Eki)
• 次の駅で降ります。
• つぎのえきでおります。
• I will get off at the next station.

2. Platform (ホーム - ホーム - Hōmu)
• ホームで友達を待っています。
• ホームでともだちをまっています。
• I am waiting for my friend on the platform.

3. Transfer (乗り換え - のりかえ - Norikae)
• 新宿で乗り換えます。
• しんじゅくでのりかえます。
• I will transfer at Shinjuku.

4. First Train (始発 - しはつ - Shihatsu)
• 始発に乗って出発します。
• しはつにのってしゅっぱつします。
• I will depart on the first train.

5. Last Train (終電 - しゅうでん - Shūden)
• 終電を逃さないようにしましょう。
• しゅうでんをのがさないようにしましょう。
• Let’s make sure we don’t miss the last train.

6. Ticket Office (切符売り場 - きっぷうりば - Kippu uriba)
• 切符売り場で切符を買います。
• きっぷうりばできっぷをかいます。
• I will buy a ticket at the ticket office.

7. Local Train (各駅停車 - かくえきていしゃ - Kakueki teisha)
• 各駅停車に乗ります。
• かくえきていしゃにのります。
• I will take the local train.

8. Ticket Gate (改札口 - かいさつぐち - Kaisatsuguchi)
• 改札口で切符を見せます。
• かいさつぐちできっぷをみせます。
• I will show my ticket at the ticket gate.

9. Limited Express (特急 - とっきゅう - Tokkyū)
• 特急に乗ると早く着きます。
• とっきゅうにのるとはやくつきます。
• You will arrive faster if you take the limited express.

10. Rapid (快速 - かいそく - Kaisoku)
• 快速は各駅に停まりません。
• かいそくはかくえきにとまりません。
• The rapid train does not stop at every station.
