Your reminder that you can do this. Your goals are obtainable no matter your starting point.

My pregnancy has been humbling in many ways. I’ve been in shape for so long, I forgot what it was like to not be!

I’ve worked out less frequently, with less intensity. I’ve eaten foods I haven’t eaten in YEARS (like 7+ years) because I just stopped including foods like that in my diet when I changed my lifestyle.

But one thing I haven’t done is throw in the towel. I have continued to workout each week. I’ve literally only gone 2 weeks without working out my whole pregnancy. And despite eating Canes some nights, I still wake up the next morning and eat healthy the next day.

My point is, I never gave up. Even when I am tired, overwhelmed, unmotivated… I still show up for myself because I know it is best for my physical health, mental health & my baby girl’s health. ā¤ļø

Find your why, & commit.

Does anyone else think New Years Resolutions are kinda cheesy? I’ve asked several of my friends about theirs and it seems as if they are on the same page as me.

I’m never the person that waits on a certain date or time to start something new, take on a new goal, or really do anything. I’m very big on ACTIONS. If you want something, start working towards it NOW.

But one thing I know, is that it’s hard to take actions without knowing what you want. It’s so easy to just avoid worrying or thinking about things you want to change and just let time pass… especially when you don’t know where to start šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

So let’s get intensional.

- make your goals clear, set time frames and steps to guide yourself to your success
- make sure your goal is EXCITING to you, it needs to inspire you achieve it so it's not something you are going to find easy to give up on
- find a way to track it so that you can see over time how you are working towards it
- use a vision board so that you can make a visual way to work through your goal, using it as a reminder of everything you hope to achieve
- set reward points, after you’ve been consistent for a certain about of time or lost a certain amount of weight… reward yourself to some new workout clothes or something that excites you!

2021 THANK YOU. I had so many plans for this year and I excited greatly. But even when you have a plan execute it as planned, the results don’t always turn out.

This year taught me discipline. This year taught me even when things don’t go as planned, you must keep going and make a new plan as you go. I needed this. This was the year that humbled me in ways that I didn’t know I needed.

2022, I’m going into you with an open mind. Instead of a play by play of what I expect for the year… I’m letting God take control. I’m so excited to see what’s in store.

THANK YOU to everyone to has supported my journey. I never forget y’all. I am so appreciative and your support never goes unnoticed.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again! We aren’t making excuses for the goals we plan to achieve, we’re acting on them.

I know it’s tough, life is busy. Work. Family. Work & Family. I deal with clients daily who all have needy jobs, and have to go home to their family and take care of little ones.

But the difference between them and the people who make excuses is simply that they make excuses. They get up earlier, they fit in time between meetings & it may not look perfect or how you plan for it to go… but they let is that you have a PLAN & ACCOUNTABILITY.

I haven’t been on on quite a while but i figured I’d post a little update about what’s going on with myself & Real Bodies!
Right now I’m trying to get a list of everything I need for baby girl and prepare for my move next month so I can go ahead and purchase my essential items for her. Who knew there would be a day i walk into a store and don’t immediately start shopping for myself?🤣). Trying to decorate the new home, stay in shape, train my clients & grow a human is a little exhausting. That’s the only real excuse I have for not being consistent with bringing y’all content 😩

I did want to let y’all know that I am I only taking 1-2 more in person clients and about 3 more nutrition only clients before I close my books at the beginning of December. I have really just been enjoying my time with my current clients both online & in person. Everyone comes ready to work and are really trying their hardest. I love it. In this stage in life I’m extremely grateful that I get to do what I love… So a big thanks to all my clients that allow me to keep doing my dream job.

Would you trade m&m’s for almonds?

That’s what most ā€œdietsā€ want you to do…

I was talking with a friend about her weight loss goals and nutrition journey

Little background, she’s in her late 30’s, has kids and is struggling with weight loss.

She’s tried restrictive diets (green beans, fish & jasmine rice), Weight Watchers, Whole 30…

She loses weight and does great… but as soon as she finishes the diet she gains all the weight back.

This is completely normal. I bet most of the people reading this has been through something like this. The problem with diets like that is that they tell you what to eat to lose weight and don’t teach you how to eat to be healthy.

So I shared this cycle with her:
~ Restriction of the food you want
~ Eating ā€œhealthierā€ especially when you have a craving… (the m&m analogy) that doesn’t satisfy your mental craving
~ Eventually giving in and eating the food you want (probably in excess)
~ Feeling extreme guilt and feeling the need to restrict again

So instead of doing that I offered another option that I teach my online clients:
~ Listening to your body and allowing yourself a handful of m&m’s
~ Saves the calories of the almonds & of the potential over consumption of m&m’s
~ Actually living with balance, honoring your body physically and mentally, & making more progress towards your fat loss or Maintence goal.

My approach to health is all about balance and we follow an 80/20 rule. 80% of the time we eat healthy good options that will fuel our bodies, the other 20% of the time we treat ourselves to the foods we love. I don’t believe you should live off of unhealthy options for obvious reasons. I do believe there is room for it in your diet especially when you’re looking to learn how to eat healthy not just for your weight loss goals… but for LIFE!

When you learn things right way you don’t have to keep trying these quick fix diets there leave you running in circles.
