"Ms. Vicknair’s commitment to our school’s climate is evident through her active roles on the PBIS Committee and the Cheer Fund Committee. She puts those positive behavioral strategies into practice every day, serving as a model for both her students and her peers.
What I value most about working alongside Ms. Vicknair is her collaborative spirit. Despite the fact that we are not on the same team, she is always willing to share high-quality resources and "best practices" when she finds something that works. This willingness to support colleagues across different teams makes our entire school stronger.

Thank you to our amazing Luna Elementary PTA and Chiloso for an amazing breakfast for the staff this morning. Chiloso's generosity is greatly appreciated and thank you to the PTA for arranging, transporting and creating such a lovely display!

The Luna Elementary Art Club celebrated our incredible cafeteria ladies by creating handmade aprons for them. A small gift with big appreciation. Friday is School Lunch Hero Day! We are thankful for our amazing cafeteria staff. ❤️

Congratulations, Mrs. Manderscheid, Luna's April Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Manderscheid consistently demonstrates positivity, collaboration, and dedication to both her students and team.
Mrs. Manderscheid brings an uplifting energy that inspires those around her. She collaborates openly, shares innovative ideas, and welcomes feedback with professionalism and grace. Her support has been invaluable.
Beyond her teamwork, Mrs. Manderscheid enhances our classrooms and communication through creative visuals. In her own classroom, she thoughtfully plans materials and strives to implement the Montessori method with care. Her students respect and admire her, a testament to the warm and engaging learning environment she fosters.
Additionally, Mrs. Manderscheid goes above and beyond by supporting former students, attending their musical performances, and actively participating on the LPAC committee. Her enthusiasm for being part of the Luna staff is evident in everything she does.

We welcome families to come out to our GISD student art show this Thursday, April 2nd at Naaman Forest. Artwork from over 30 Luna students will be featured along with some amazing pieces from high school, middle school, and a few other elementary schools.
