hello, hello, hello, there classmates of EHS 1967, so, believe it or not,,,,I sometimes just 'wander' around the internet. Now, I'm sure no one else 'out there' has ever just 'wandered' or even 'wondered' thru the vast world of information that sits at our fingertips ! I do remember the encyclopedia britannica which was the 'go to' authority of that long ago time and place. So, it seems 'time marches on' as they say. And, as it works out, I came upon a 'site' that appears to have a lot of knowledge, and with that a lot of questions, ( seems knowledge and questions just appear to follow each other ) and anyway, I felt somewhat 'compelled ' to do the 'copy and paste' thing which does come in handy........and it poses the ambiguous question of the 'what the heck is all this talking about ?'. And , hope its a happy and SAFE New Years,,,,so who among us would have thought we would be looking at a New Years celebration of 2026 ? Hello there Class of 1967! I haven't been 'going' to all our EHS football games, just mainly the 'home games' ( since the Texas UIL has 'allowed the live broad casting' of our high school games for the first time in history ) it seems a little like 'over kill' to go to all the games , then edit and produce them for a later addition to the you tube history, But sometimes, I do. Kinda especially since those live broadcasts usually 'show' the EHS Band marching and Lionettes at half-time but replacing the audio and music with non-stop advertising , so with this video, those school programs are 'represented'. While I have not attended CPR classes over the years, others I know have. They recently learned about this particular scenario about heart attacks. They were told that when your body starts sweating profusely for no apparent reason followed by what feels like a spasm at the end of your esophagus, that is your body’s warning sign.
Here is what to when you are alone and have a heart attack, what are you gonna do? A really good post that can't be shared often enough:
1. Take a 2 minute break and read this:
Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work.
2. You are really tired and frustrated.
All of a sudden your experience chest pains. They are starting to radiate in the arm and jaw. It feels like being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital or home.
3. Unfortunately you don't know if you can make it..
4. Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself.
5. How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.
6. But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.
7. Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. That’s how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment.
8. Cardiologists say if someone gets this message and passes it on to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.
9. FOR WOMEN: You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. Rarely have crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. Often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line plus sudden fatigue.

Hello there EHS Class of 1967 WOW, got news for everyone,,,especially the former EHS Football guys...... this year, for the first time in history,,,,, a Texas High School can Broadcast Live a Texas High School Friday Night Football Game! This is now possible because the Texas UIL , that would be the University Interscholastic League is going to allow those broadcasts LIVE over the internet. It seems also that the You tube system is the most popular means of this broadcast. For years and years, I personally have been going to our own EHS Varsity Games and videoing them , doing a little editing on them and then putting them along with various other videos on my little you tube page,,,,,that of ... tcvideosennistexas .... . I do also do in the editing process, do a little bit of Slo Motion on a bunch of the ' Big Plays' and also put some background music on there also for good measure. So, anyway, the 'School' is pairing up with the EHS Video Dept to run a camera during the game along with a couple of D J 's announcers to give a play by play of the game. It can be found on Friday Nights, starting at 6:30 Pm and continuing the entire game. Do be ready for a bunch of local advertisements. I'm not exactly sure where the revenue goes,,,,,, a bunch to the school I hope. Hello there whoever might be 'listening' or I guess I should say 'looking',,,,anyway, I just happened to find a guy on the internet who is apparently a 'car' type guy,,,,more specifically a 'old car guy', and he found another guy who has a 1956 Chev with something like 7000 original miles on his 1956 Chev,,,,,,and matter of fact, my first car ( a present from my dear sweet Daddy when I had gotten that magic ticket, ( thank you Daddy ) a Texas Drivers license when I was 14. And I got a 1956 2 door post 6 cylinder for $450 bucks ( a lot of money in 1956). So, talk about bringing back memories !
