Originally named South Hills Elementary in 1973, Plummer Elementary is the second oldest school in CHISD. The school is named after the late Rosa Belle Plummer.

What an incredible year it has been for the National Elementary Honor Society at Plummer Elementary! We are so proud of all of our scholars for their leadership, service, academic excellence, and commitment to making a difference both on campus and in the community. From service projects and campus events to mentoring and teamwork, our NEHS members truly represented what it means to lead with heart and purpose.
A very special congratulations to our amazing 5th grade members as they prepare for their next journey in middle school. We are excited to see all the great things you will accomplish. Continue to lead, serve, and shine bright wherever you go. Once a Plummer leader, always a Plummer leader!

Spotlight on our AMAZING 1st Grade scholars! 💍🔤❤️🖤
Our 1st Grade classes hosted their very own Q and U Wedding as part of our ABC Countdown celebration! Students brought phonics to life by celebrating the special bond between the letters Q and U in a fun and memorable way.
From the adorable bride and groom to the wedding vows and word practice, our scholars showed creativity, confidence, and excitement for learning. They proudly practiced reading and spelling words like quick, queen, quiet, and quilt while making lasting memories with their classmates.
We love seeing learning come alive in such meaningful and engaging ways. Great job, 1st Grade! We are so proud of you for being creative readers and shining bright every day! ✨

Just a reminder. No backpacks PreK-5th.
Only two weeks left! Quick reminder that students are not allowed to bring backpacks to campus for the last two weeks of school. Students may still bring a lunch container and a small bag for personal items. Personal item bags may be no larger than 8.5” x 5.5” — the size of half a sheet of letter-size piece of paper. Reach out to your campus with any questions.
