You'll always be brave in someone's mind and cowardly in another's, strong to one and fragile to another, good to one and terrible to another.
You will be seen as annoying to one and comforting to another.
Some will feel anxious around you and some will find peace in your company. Some will see you as "too much" while others will see you as a gift.
People will always look at you from their subjective point of view.
People will never be able to agree on a definition of who you are.
So, find a way to live and truly be authentically who you were created to be.
It's impossible for God to make mistakes so who you are is who He planned for you to be. ♡

This is a topic that comes up over and over in my coaching sessions, particularly in the work I do with couples. ❤️

Today was a great day! So fun to be back with my Ardmore, Ok friends for a day of personal growth. ❤️

Thinking I shouldn’t be allowed to attend other people’s speaking events. 🥴

When you do what I do, and you’ve learned what I’ve learned about intellectual diversity (some of it the hard way) you just can’t unsee it, and you cannot go back to old ways of thinking.

Gender doesn’t determine if you’re a problem solver or not.
Gender doesn’t determine your level of emotions, your emotional maturity or your emotional capacity.
Gender doesn’t determine if you’re an external processor.
Gender doesn’t determine if you can compartmentalize.
Gender doesn’t determine if you’re a linear thinker.
Gender doesn’t determine if you’re an analytical thinker.
Gender doesn’t determine if you’re dominant or if you cognitively pay attention to planning or decision making.

The only diversity that matters in the workplace has nothing to do with gender. I’ll die on that cross. Thankful I got to spend the day with these beauties tho. ❤️

Things my husband did (without prompting) to serve me this week…just this week alone…

❤️ washed our sheets and remade the bed during his workday
❤️ brought home a project to work on that will ensure I stay AUNT FAVORITE with the nephews
❤️ did my Sam’s club shopping while he was in town seeing clients to save me a trip
❤️ cooked dinner so I could have a late afternoon nail appointment
❤️ encouraged me to walk every weekday morning for the past two weeks (even when I was really grumpy about it)

If yall don’t think God is still in the business of saving marriages and changing people, you’re just wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

3 years ago this month we were separated and not sure we would survive year 20. 💔

Today, we’ve learned to meet more of each others needs, understand the way we each think and communicate, we appreciate our differences and own our weaknesses, and we actually enjoy each others company more than we ever thought possible.

If you’re in a marriage and not feeling connected, maybe living separate lives, prioritizing work and kids to avoid the relational work you know you need to do, and wondering is this it? Is this all there is??? We should talk. ❤️
