The muscles around the brow are constantly working in opposition.

Some create downward pull, while the frontalis works to elevate the brow. Understanding that relationship helps an injector decide which muscles to soften with a neuromodulator and which movement should be preserved.

By reducing the downward pull while respecting the muscle responsible for elevation, treatment can support a more balanced brow position and, in the right patient, a subtle lifting effect.

This is why upper face treatment begins with understanding how the muscles move together, not simply where the lines appear.

Your patients deserve more than a memorized sequence of steps.

They deserve an injector who can assess the entire face, understand the anatomy beneath the concern, and explain the reasoning behind every decision.

That level of confidence is built by slowing down, asking better questions, and learning to recognize why one approach may work beautifully for one patient but not for another.

Technique is only one part of the work. The deeper skill is understanding the anatomy, recognizing what is driving the concern, and knowing why a treatment plan belongs on that particular face.

Limited observer spots remain for our upcoming October training. If you are ready to strengthen the way you assess, plan, and make clinical decisions, comment MASTERCLASS and I’ll send you the details.

There is something powerful about watching the way an injector sees the face begin to shift in real time.

That is what the Art of Injecting two day immersive experience is designed to create. Not simply a new sequence of steps, but a deeper understanding of assessment, anatomy, and the clinical reasoning behind every decision.

Day One: Illusion Mapping™

Adrienne’s proprietary facial assessment framework teaches you to evaluate the face as a whole through proportion, perception, and structural harmony. You will learn to look beyond the visible complaint and identify the structural changes influencing it, including bone resorption, fat pad changes, and ligament laxity.

Day Two: Natural Trough™ Technique

Learn how restoring midface and upper face support can soften the appearance of the under eye and improve facial balance without automatically treating the tear trough directly. The day also includes Temporal Frame™, an approach to rebuilding support through the upper face and reframing the facial contour from the top down.

Both days include hands on learning with live models, real time guidance from Adrienne, and product provided.

Our final 2026 training takes place October 12 and 13. The experience is intentionally kept small, and it is now almost full with limited spots remaining.

If you are ready to strengthen the way you assess, plan, and treat, details and registration are available through the link in bio.

Not every tear trough should be filled.

A shadow beneath the eye does not automatically mean volume belongs beneath the eyelid. What appears on the surface is often influenced by deeper structural changes.

As skeletal support diminishes and the cheek loses projection, the transition between the lower eyelid and midface can become more pronounced. Skin quality, ligament support, fat prolapse, edema, and lymphatic health can also influence the appearance of the area.

This is why assessment must come before injection.

For the wrong candidate, adding filler may create more heaviness rather than improve the concern. For the right candidate, the treatment plan may begin by restoring support somewhere other than the tear trough.

The skill is not simply knowing how to fill the area. It is knowing when to treat it, when to support it indirectly, and when to leave it alone.

Because the goal is not to fill every hollow. It is to understand why it formed in the first place.

Investing in your craft does not mean buying more product or upgrading your injector chair.

It means putting yourself in a room where you are learning, not just performing. Where your hands are guided by someone with more experience. Where your assumptions are challenged and your technique is refined.

That can feel uncomfortable, especially for skilled injectors who already feel confident in their work.

But the best injectors I know never stop being students. They understand there is always more nuance in the anatomy, more precision available in the technique, and more to learn about how product behaves in tissue over time.

This is what that commitment looks like in practice. Hands on a patient. An experienced eye following every decision. Real-time feedback you cannot get from a video or workbook alone.

That is the investment. And it carries into every patient you treat after leaving the room.

Here is something I say in almost every training: the jowl is often a midface problem.

It may not feel that way when a patient is pointing directly to the jawline. It may not look that way on the surface.

But when you understand what contributes to jowling, including ligament laxity, fat pad descent, and mandibular resorption, you realize that treating the jawline alone may be working around the problem instead of addressing what is driving it.

The injectors creating the most natural lower-face results are not necessarily placing more product. They are placing it in the right area, for the right reason, because they have traced the visible concern back to its structural origin.

That is the work.

The moments that shape your practice happen when assessment, anatomy, and technique come together in real time.

At Art of Injecting Academy, you will move beyond memorizing a sequence of steps and learn how to assess the full face, understand the anatomy influencing each concern, and make treatment decisions with greater clarity.

Join Adrienne October 12 and 13 for two days of hands-on learning, thoughtful discussion, and clinical reasoning you can carry back into every consultation.

A few seats remain. Details and registration are available through the link in bio.

The area a patient points to is not always where the treatment plan begins.

A shadow, fold, or contour change may be influenced by structural support and volume relationships elsewhere within the facial third. Assessing what sits above, below, and beside the concern helps you understand what is truly driving it.

Treat the anatomy influencing the concern, not simply the place where it appears.

Technique matters. But technique is not the first thing that changes.

What shifts first is how you see.

You stop seeing isolated complaints like hollowing, lines, or laxity and begin seeing structure. You recognize the bony changes influencing soft tissue descent, the displacement of fat pads creating shadow where projection once existed, and the ligamentous attachments holding certain structures in place while the surrounding tissue changes.

That perspective is difficult to gain from a product training or a one-hour webinar. It develops in a room where clinical reasoning is taught out loud, where you watch an assessment unfold in real time and understand why the treatment plan looks the way it does.

That is what changes when you train here. Not just what you do, but how you think.

If you are ready to strengthen the way you assess, plan, and think through every face, comment MASTERCLASS and I’ll send you the details.

Perioral aging is one of the areas I see overcorrected most often.

The lines are visible, so they easily become the entire focus. But lines are information. They can reflect changes in the bony support beneath the nose, the integrity of the philtral columns, and the projection of the lip within the lower facial third.

When you read that information correctly, the treatment plan looks very different from simply filling what you see.

The lip deserves more than surface-level thinking.
