Honored to host this year’s Texas Facility Architects gathering at Southern Methodist University. Our OFPM Vice President, Michael Molina, AIA, welcomed colleagues from across Texas for a day of collaboration and shared insight focused on advancing higher education facilities design and performance statewide. Attendees toured the Moody Graduate School, Dallas Hall, Weber End Zone Complex, and the Rees-Jones Library of the American West — highlighting innovation, stewardship, and the evolving campus experience.

Southern Methodist University partnered with Ewing Cole Architects and EC-Build to deliver a successful project that was celebrated with two national awards! Thank you to the entire team for the collaborative effort in delivering this solution for the SMU Residence Life Student Housing Division.

This project seamlessly added a connector building between two existing “vintage” residence halls constructed circa 1954. The scope entailed full interior renovation and exterior improvements resulting in a sustainable centric design and delivery on time, as well as under budget. Students excitedly occupied the building in fall 2025.

Michael shared his expertise on leadership and the vision driving SMU’s capital projects. Attendees also toured the Garry Weber End Zone Complex — a facility redefining the future of SMU Athletics.
