Cuz went to Colorado almost a month ago.
She did several hours of paddle boarding and kayaking over the course of a day.
Was not doing any such thing before, so her shoulder got irritated and started to hurt.
Based on where she said it hurt, we applied a soft tissue mobilization technique,
And that helped improve her pain.
She had been doing lots of stretching and her Pure Barre classes, but it wasn't going away and she was starting to get frustrated.
1️⃣ We tested.
2️⃣ Treated.
3️⃣ Then retested.
1️⃣ Shoulder extension and elevation = pain
2️⃣ Did the lacrosse ball in the sock - 2 mins with mild to moderate discomfort (radiating pain to the area it usually hurts is a good sign)
3️⃣ Did the same painful movement again and her pain was better
✅ That means we're on the right track.
Now she's got a tool to improve her pain.
The next step is to load her rotator cuff (the area leading to her pain) to get it stronger.
She'll be pain free again in no time.
If you need help with the pain that you're in, send me the word "ROW" and we'll find a way to calm it down just like we did for Amanda
