Hanging out on my grad school campus working on my thesis, and who do I bump into? Two of THE BEST professors on campus..jilld.muw and . I'm so grateful for these two! 2 more semesters to look forward to this song. 🎓

The Color 💜 did not disappoint. I am not a fan of musicals, but this one was not over the top with songs just for the sake of songs. Fantasia was EXCELLENT, and I loved hearing Taraji sing. There were a few minor shifts in plot from the original that I noticed, but all the major scenes were definitely there. The theatre was not packed, I think, mainly because a lot of people went to a premiere showing before tonight. I wore purple but was very low-key. EXCELLENT dance choreography and cast. Hubby and I left afterward and went home to watch the original. He thought it was a really good movie.

I love her because she chooses to be herself everyday, just like her mother Vera taught her to be. I love her because at the age of 50 she is free to walk around with zero makeup and still go out in public. I love her because she reinvents herself if necessary, and has no fear because she knows she is fearfully and wonderfully made. I love her because she loves hard, and will fight even harder for those she loves. I love her because she's a giver, and her jou comes from seeing others doing well and when she makes a positive impact on someone else's life she smiles herself to sleep.
I wrote this because I am challenging you today to love yourself! Do you know how much God loves you? That he gave His only begotten son for YOU? So why would you let satan tell you you are not worthy of love?
