Today we celebrated our annual Crossing the Bridge from Elementary to Middle School ceremony.
Each 5th grader crossed a physical bridge that symbolized the journey from elementary school into a brand-new chapter: middle school. As they walked across, the screen shared their story, beginning with photos from kindergarten, moving to who they are today, and ending with a glimpse of their future through images of what they hope to become when they grow up. It was a beautiful reminder of how much they have grown and how bright their futures are.
Some of our students will continue their journey at Buckner Terrace Montessori as 6th graders, while others will move on to magnet middle school programs across Dallas ISD. No matter where they go, they will always be part of the BTM family.
This ceremony is always bittersweet. We are so proud of every 5th grader, the person they have become, and the incredible people they are still becoming. Congratulations to our students as they prepare to cross into their next adventure.

A huge thank you to Cassie Heiter, Meteorologist at WFAA, for visiting Buckner Terrace Montessori and presenting to our 5th and 6th graders on May 6th during Career Week 2026!
Our students were fully engaged and inspired. Some are already talking about exploring meteorology and even storm chasing as future careers 🌩️
