This scholarship is open to individuals with Down Syndrome who are 18 years of age or older and have a desire and intent to enroll in, or continue enrollment in, a class or program that will enhance their life through employment, independent living, or life skills, or who have an interest in any other area.

-Completed and signed application
-Recommendation letter(s)
-Proof of high school graduation, upcoming graduation, or current acceptance to/enrollment in a post-secondary program
-Recent photo
-Proof of estimated tuition cost for one academic year of your program/intended program
-Letter from a qualified medical professional confirming the applicant's diagnosis of Down syndrome (including any type of trisomy-21)
-Any "Extras" – anything you feel will help us get to know them better, such as photos, videos, original artwork, or poetry, etc.

The student must have been impacted by domestic violence that was committed against them or a family member, or they must have a substantial interest in providing solutions to prevent domestic violence in the United States.

Students must also submit an essay of up to 1,000 words answering the following questions: How has domestic violence affected people in the United States today? How serious is this issue? What solutions can be put in place to address these concerns and reduce the number of people who are affected by domestic abuse?
