Another from last week:
We are continually blown away by the middle schoolers at St. Anthony. About a month ago they raised funds through a school-wide bake sale and last week they were given the opportunity to meet with some staff at DFW Rescue Me and present them with the raised funds in person. This organization is so near and dear to these kiddos hearts and we are so thankful that they came to visit us (and even brought along a furry friend for us to meet too!). Thank you DFW Rescue Me for being leaders in our community; we appreciate everything y'all do!!

Last week Charles Rice 3rd grade partnered with The Stewpot in providing "manna bags" for the homeless. We had a great time putting the bags together, hearing from Jordan about the services their organization provide for the homeless population in Dallas, as well as receiving some special gifts to remember all the hard work put into making this day happen. Thank you The Stewpot for the pressed pennies, book bags, and painted greeting cards made by the homeless; they are gifts we will forever be grateful for. And THANK YOU for everything you do in our community, too!
Charles Rice 3rd graders, we are SO proud of you!!!!

Last week Senior Corporal Christine Smith came and spoke to our kiddos about Community Safety. She touched on discipline, following directions, and reporting crimes. We are so thankful for her and the many others that keep our community safe! Thank you, Charles Rice 5th graders, for putting this assembly together. We appreciate your hard work!

This awesome group of middle schoolers at St Anthony has decided to do a clothes drive AND a bake sale. Clothes will be donated to the Opportunity Center and the money raised from the bake sale (happening tomorrow!!) will go to an animal shelter as well as funding to make snack packs for the homeless. Today was the FIRST day of the 7 day long clothes drive and THIRTEEN garbage bags of clothes have already been donated!! Way to go kiddos!
