Good evening Truman families!

Tomorrow we will start our first day of testing. Please make sure your student adhere to the following:
1. Backpacks are not required. Students will be testing for most of the day. Ipads, scratch paper and pencils are provided.
2. No hoodies, blankets, pajamas or slippers. Students may wear sweatshirts or jackets without a head covering. All students who come to school with a hoodie or blanket will be asked to remove it and it will not be allowed in the testing room. Students should follow the district dress code which includes not pajamas or slippers.
3. Electronics - must be turned into the testing proctor if they are brought to school. If any student is caught with an electronic device on their person, their tests scores may be invalidated. This includes smartwatches, google glasses/eyewear, headphones, personal electronics, ipods, etc - anything that requires batteries or needs charging must be turned into the testing proctor.
4. Any student who is bringing an additional backpack for their athletic gear must follow the district protocol which is - it must be clear or mesh. We have had a handful of students bringing different types of backpacks - this is not allowed and the rules do not change for any student/activity.
5. We ask that any doctor's appts be scheduled or rescheduled for next week. This is to ensure that your student does their best testing with their actual teachers. Any student who has a makeup will not test with their content area teacher - studies show that there may be a drop in scores because of this. Help your student be successful by rescheduling appointments to next week.

If you have any questions, please let us know.
