Ally ASL!

Hello, FB family! It has been a good long while since I have been around on the Ally ASL page, and I hope everyone is doing well!! Just a little update:

I am still teaching Deaf Education; currently in my sixth year. Enjoying my career and occasionally interpreting on the side during summer vacations. My husband and I got married this past June and had a beautiful wedding. We are now expecting a sweet little bundle of joy this summer. :) We are very excited and ready to meet our precious baby! So all in all, 2015 was a very eventful year. I am keeping very busy, but hoping that 2016 will bring some more opportunities for signing songs.

I appreciate each and every one of you, and though I am not always able to respond to each message, I am ever so grateful for all of your love and support throughout these years. :)

What an AMAZING day at the Keith Wann the ASL comedian Show this evening! A day full of wonderful workshops - including my very first teaching workshop, and an evening show that was absolutely incredible. These are the moments where I feel closest to My God, knowing that He put me here on Earth for this very reason. Even one of my most special students came to watch and support and to see her watching Deaf adults signing, and so many sign users was so powerful. Just a day worth going in the record books - and planning on many more to come. :) THANK YOU SO MUCH to ALL that came out to support! All my Love!

I am in SHOCK at the videos I watched on YouTube today. Mislabeled, misinterpreted, misunderstood; there are more videos that don't make sense than there are GOOD, HONEST, TRUE TO INTERPRETATION videos. This has gotta end!

I've reached a form of writers block. Every song I start to interpret, I find myself either not liking the way it's turning out, or not liking the pacing of the song. Any requests? Ideas? Thoughts? All welcome.
