Hi friends! A note from Owner/Founder, Leslie Whitmore:

In May of 2018 as we were transforming from our home-based Montessori program into our current White Rock campus, I met Michelle Lowry, who I quickly hired to become our first ever Nido Lead Guide. Michelle grew the Nido into a beautiful, one of a kind, award-winning program and even went on to take over my role as Director.
In late 2023, after serving our school for over 5 years, and helping to create our second Nido at our Oak Cliff campus, Michelle made the tough choice to move back to San Antonio to be with her family. It was very bittersweet and her departure left an empty spot in our Liberated community.

Today I am so happy to announce that Michelle is back!

She is now Director of our newest campus - Liberated Montessori at San Antonio!

This delightful in-person gathering allows adults with infants from birth to 14 months to connect with other families while learning how to prepare themselves and their environment for the early, formative months of their child’s development. As a community, we have conversations and share resources to guide our understanding of the child and their needs.

Congratulations to White Rock Montessori on the achievement of full AMS accreditation! Many of our students have continued their Montessori education at White Rock, participating in their Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School programs. Congrats again!

White Rock Montessori is so excited to announce that we have achieved full Accreditation from the American Montessori Society!

What does this mean? Our faculty and staff have put in months of hard work to meet the rigorous standards set forth by the AMS to meet the highest level of recognition for a Montessori school. Currently, only about 15% of AMS member schools are Accredited.
