I’m finally getting around to posting this epic shoot I did for CNN with Laura Bush and Wolf Blitzer and Laura Bush. Laura Bush had just finished writing a book and we did an interview afterwards. Sometimes the hardest part is getting a shot! hairandmakeup

Crew shot for a with Emmit Smith for Hershey’s chocolate. Emmit walks in after he gets his makeup done on set, smiles and says to everyone “I am the chocolate baby!” What a cool guy.

I ran across and old picture that happened in 2010. I had the opportunity to do makeup on John McCain for the Jimmy Kimmel Show for a part of his Presidential campaign. Jimmy wanted Obama who was at another location to fist bump the tv at the same time as Jimmy did and John McCain was asked to head bump the tv at the same time Jimmy did. I thought it was clever, but John didn’t. He was not having it. Oh well! Sometimes you have to stay true to your own brand, which in this case was serious business.

As a Big Table Member of Loral Langemeir’s investment group, I have an opportunity to meet inspiring people like Kevin Harrington of Shark Tank. At this event Loral created her own version of Shark Tank before the show existed and did it with a live audience with business owners who were pitching their ideas to get funded to expand their businesses. There were a lot of restaurant owners wanting to have franchises, medical devices for hospitals and other interesting topics. Bottom line is to get funded and expand you have to have a proof of success which all boils down to money.

What an incredible night at the Dallas International Film Festival. It was so fun. The best part of the film industry are the people. When Perot Jr. tells you on a shoot the inside scoop of where growth is happening in Texas you definitely feel in the loop. He says that growth is happening here to Oklahoma and then heading west to Roanoke. If you can afford it buy a house there now and in 30 years it will be worth an absolute fortune.
