I ran a 5K today for the first time in 5 years! Here are some lessons I’ve learned over the last 30 days:⁣

✨You can decide at any moment to change your beliefs. I believed for so long that I wasn’t a runner but I decided to change that by starting this program.⁣
✨You can give up if you want but you won’t know how it feels to cross the finish line and feel proud of yourself for pushing through. Do you really want to miss out on that??⁣
✨The way you talk to yourself is everything. When I wanted to stop running today, I kept saying “You are running and you can keep running! You aren’t tired you’re just mid-conquer!” And that’s what pushed me through the last mile.⁣
✨The only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday. Comparing yourself to others keeps your eyes off the road in front you. Do that too long you’ll probably trip. Eyes forward babe!⁣
✨After you cross the finish line, don’t stop. Keep going. Celebrate, but then look for the next race, the next opportunity to cross another finish line. That’s how we continue to grow.⁣

Fitness is such a metaphor for life right?? What are some life lessons you’ve learned from fitness?⁣

Are you committed to the journey as much as the outcome?

You say you want change and have a really good couple of hours and then after a few slip ups you say "guess I'll try again tomorrow." ⁣

And your brain says: “Yeah right girl, you've been sayin' that for a year! Who are YOU to think that you can actually do this??⁣”

And then the vicious cycle starts again.

But what if THIS TIME you had a different reason for committing to your health journey besides just losing weight?

It makes total sense that when I became a coach that I started taking my health journey more seriously and really committing to the daily actions I needed to reach my goals.⁣

Because coaching wasn’t just about me reaching my goals. It was about being the best example I could be so I could help others. That became my higher purpose.

This is 100% why I believe if you have it in your heart to help others and have your own health goals, being a coach is one of the best ways to do both!⁣

You can do it for the "title" or the extra accountability or just to have some kick ass friends that inspire you to level the eff up! ⁣

You can do this even if you've never once thought about coaching as a career or making income from it. ⁣

But what if you just learned how to help yourself? Eat right, get in the best shape, or even inspire someone in your life to live healthier. Would it be worth it?⁣

Visualize what your life would be like if you committed to your health & wellness for the next 60 days & remember I’m always here to help you 💜

JUNE >> NOV✨⁣

I haven’t counted calories.⁣
I haven’t cut out any foods other than processed junk (but can you really call that food?)⁣
I haven’t worked out for hours a day.⁣
I haven’t given up wine, pizza or fries.⁣
I haven’t tried to be perfect all the time.⁣

I have been consistent.⁣
I have been intentional with my time.⁣
I have been disciplined.⁣
I have been accountable.⁣
I have been forgiving.⁣

Wonder how you can lose weight and feel amazing without restriction? Stop look outside yourself for the solution ✋ ⁣

You can be consistent, intentional, disciplined, accountable and forgiving too. It just takes a moment to DECIDE you will be those things.⁣

The system I use works because it’s simple. Life is already complicated enough, don’t let your health & fitness journey add to that 😅 ⁣

I can’t wait to bring another 20 people through our Habits That Stick challenge next week so they can see how easy it can be for them. Have you claimed your spot yet?? ⁣

If you haven’t, you can join today at the low price of $FREE.99 😛 What are you waiting for? We start Monday!

11/09/2020

You can start your weight loss journey, but can you keep going??⁣

Your mind is funny when it comes to self-sabotage. It’s not that you want yourself to fail, but your self-sabotaging behaviors are HABITS that you don’t even realize you are doing.⁣

Those are the habits that keep you coming back to square one feeling frustrated and defeated every time you try to make a change. ⁣

They may look like...⁣
Procrastination ⁣
Negative self-talk⁣
or Perfectionism⁣

Would you believe me if I told you that you could change that though??⁣

Changing your habits is actually a science and with science there are formulas! If you knew you could end your self-sabotaging behavior by following a specific formula each day, would you commit to it??⁣

I’m getting together with a friend of mine to host a FREE challenge all about habits, increasing energy and productivity & taking charge of your schedule.⁣

We are taking up to 20 people through a 5 day workshop where you’ll learn exactly how I learned to change my own habits in a way that actually stuck long-term. ⁣

Can you be too obsessed with weight loss?? Yup. I know it first-hand.

I remember when I was afraid to keep certain foods in the house because I couldn’t control my cravings.

I remember what it was like to feel guilt and shame around eating high calorie foods.

I remember feeling like a failure every time I ate over my calorie count for the day.

I remember feeling discouraged every time to scale would go up more than 2lbs from yesterday.

I remember only exercising for calorie burn...

All for the sake of seeing that arbitrary number in the scale drop and this “healthy lifestyle” I wanted to live.

Eventually I just got so tired of always obsessing over my food and my weight that I wanted to give up entirely.

Thank god I didn’t! 🙏 Instead I just did a few things that helped me get away from those toxic habits.

1️⃣ I stopped weighing myself and started taking photos as a way to track my progress

2️⃣ I took off my fitness tracker and stopped caring about how many calories I burned in a day

3️⃣ I stopped tracking calories and focused on eating more veggies and drinking more water, but at the same time allowing myself to eat pizza when I wanted to

4️⃣ I stopped forcing myself to workout when it was a full body NO coming from my soul and started listening to more intuitively

5️⃣ I started celebrating consistency over the result and falling in love with the process of getting to a new goal

Ladies, diet culture has RUINED us! Which leaves a lot of reprogramming for us to do so we can find true happiness with ourselves.

The good news is you don’t have to do it alone. I’m always just a message away to offer you the tools & support that helped you become more confident in myself no matter how what the scale says 💜🙏

I’ve always said I’m not a runner. But here I am doing a 30 day running program in the cold, misty rain. Turns out our thoughts can lie to us 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣

Now my time isn’t super impressive by any means 😅 But I’m only on day 16 and I’ve already shaved nearly 90 seconds off my pace time since Day 1 which means I’m getting faster and stronger 🙌🏻 ⁣

Not only that but I’m learning so much about mental toughness and not giving up when it gets hard. Stoked to see what my time will be on Day 30 and when I run my race! ⁣

Any wannabe runners want to try this with me? I have a FREE sample audio run so you can get a feel for it! Drop a running emoji if you want the link 🏃‍♀️

“How do you stay so motivated??”

What you DON’T see in between these two photos:⁣

- A lot of sweat equity. Like literal sweat from consistently working out every day, even on the days when I really didn’t want to. Especially on the days when I was so sore from the day before that I couldn’t even sit on the toilet 😂⁣

- Setbacks. This journey was not and is not linear. There are months where I am 100% on point, and months where I eat more pizza than I would like to admit or skipped 3 days of workouts. There are times where I’m in the best shape of my life and times where I’ve been humbled by those unforgiving jeans not really fitting anymore. But I never quit on myself and I keep showing up.⁣

- A lot of work on my mindset. I paired the start of my fitness journey with a personal development practice where I listened to or read something every day that would feed my brain. People ask me how I stay on track and motivated and I’ll tell you the secret is mastering the thing between your ears. Work on that, and the talk around failing and quitting won’t be a distraction for you while you work on your goals.⁣

- Accountability. I have a whole lot of people to lean on when it comes to being consistent and showing up daily. Lots of group chats, lots of fun weekly challenges, and lots of tough love coming from girls on my team when I don’t want to show up. This is the secret sauce I believe everyone needs.⁣

I know it’s so easy to get comparison-itis on social media and think that everyone you follow has it easier than you. But that is just a story you are telling yourself. ⁣

We all struggle! But some of us are willing to stand back up more than others. ⁣

What is something you’ve overcome in your health journey?? 👇🏻

So I hear you want to workout but you just don’t have the MOTIVATION...⁣

Did you know that motivation is something that is BUILT like a muscle?⁣

So of course you don’t have the motivation at first! Because you have to BUILD it!⁣

Here’s how to get the momentum going:⁣

1️⃣ You gotta face your fears and figure out what’s really holding you back from starting that first workout. Is it perfectionism? Is it the fear of failure or that you’ll just disappoint yourself again if you try? What’s the ROOT cause of your inaction?⁣

Journal it. Then once you figure it out, make affirmations or mantras around it. One mantra I use daily is “I can always rely on myself.” It helps me stay in the zone and not get distracted with old limiting beliefs.⁣

2️⃣ Build a priming routine. You know how Tony Robbins starts his days? He jumps into freezing cold pool to wake himself up. He’s kind of intense 😂 but the method he uses is PRIMING. ⁣

It means getting your body systems going for the day! I do this by drinking at least 24oz of water first thing in the morning, jumping on my trampoline and doing some deep breathing.⁣

I’ve done it so often that many times that when I follow that routine my body knows it’s time to workout. SCIENCE! It’s pretty rad.⁣

3️⃣ Get yourself accountable! This is the SECRET SAUCE yo! Telling other people your goals, committing yourself publicly, or better yet having to show up for other people to do your workouts together is an awesome way to stay motivated. ⁣

That’s why I LOVE our online bootcamps and virtual workouts. I get excited to see my friends and I know they will be looking for me. Boom! Motivation!⁣

So what’s holding you back from starting your Day 1? The time to make your goals happens now! Hogwarts Running Club is starting 1 week from TODAY & my general November bootcamp enrollment is open now! Let me know how I can help you the motivation you’re looking for ✨

I've failed all my life. But I'm okay with it.⁣

I used to be so scared of failing. My perfectionism just wouldn't tolerate it. But now it's a part of my journey I celebrate. Because without the massive amounts of everyday failures, I wouldn't have made it here. A whole lot healthier, happier, enlightened, grateful, and just downright excited about life. ⁣

If I had given up after my first failure, I wouldn't have experienced so many amazing things.⁣

I wouldn’t have helped as many people find better health & confidence.⁣
I wouldn't have made so many amazing new friends from all over the world. ⁣
I wouldn't have made extra income that allows me to live out my passions instead of being chained to a desk. ⁣
I wouldn't have lost friggin' 50 pounds and become the healthiest I've EVER been. ⁣

Failure got me HERE. ⁣

I say if you’re afraid of failing, you’re afraid of living life. Because failure is an inevitable step on the path to where you are truly meant to be. ⁣

How are you failing forward right now?

When I found coaching, one of my biggest fears was that no one would take me seriously because I wasn’t in shape. ⁣

I didn’t look like those other fit girls who were posting workouts in the gym wearing their Gymshark leggings and sports bras. ⁣

But then I realized that I wasn’t starting this business for those people. It was for ME and the other people like me. ⁣

I do it for that 16 year old version of myself on the left who weighed herself twice a day, counted every calorie, and STILL never felt satisfied with her body.⁣

I do it for the 19 year old version of myself that didn’t eat for an entire day hoping that she would weigh less the next.⁣

I do it for the 21 year old version of myself who would feel so guilty after binge eating that she would go to the gym and run until she burned enough calories.⁣

I do it for the 22 year old version of me who was sick and tired of being sick and tired and needed a damn change. ⁣

Becoming a coach was that change. It was no longer about being like the other fit girls, it was about learning how to be me again.⁣

All that girl on the left ever wanted was to be loved by others, but what she really needed was to love herself. ⁣

And I think that 16 year old girl would be really proud of this coach on the right who got out of her own damn way.⁣

If you relate to this in anyway, let me know in the comments 👇🏻 And if you’re interested, I’m inviting you to learn more about the opportunity that changed everything for me to see if it’s something you might need too 💕

My first run sucked 😅⁣

I’m being complete honest and transparent. Running does not come naturally to me...YET.⁣

But it will become easier every day that I show up and that is what’s going to keep me coming back for the next 28 days.⁣

Everybody knows that when you start something new you kinda suck at first. But most of us don’t hang on long enough to see actual progress being made.⁣

We want it to happen in an instant and save ourselves the embarrassment of sucking in those beginning stages. But that’s not how it works...⁣

You don’t just become a runner overnight.⁣
You don’t just lose all the weight in a week.⁣
You don’t just make 6 figures in a month.⁣

It’s a climb. And you have to be willing to start from the bottom. ⁣

And think about this, do you really want to miss out on all the GROWTH you will experience during your climb? Because girl that’s the best dang part! ⁣

Don’t wish away your beginning. All good stories have one ✨ What are you willing to suck at right now in order to be great??

The first time I ran a 5k was in 2015. ⁣

After losing my mom to brain cancer just over a year before that I made the decision to channel my grief into health & fitness.⁣

After trying to drown my depression with alcohol & food for a year I had gained 40lbs. I felt like a shell of myself, none of my clothes fit anymore, and I knew that I had to do something.⁣

I made the decision to run at the Head For The Cure race a few months away even though I hadn’t even run a mile since high school. ⁣

I remember downloading the Couch25K app and committing to every single run in that program even when it meant dragging my ass to the gym in the dead of winter at 9pm. ⁣

I literally hated every second of it. But I felt like this was the only way I could learn how to run a 5K in just a few months. And I did it! But it was painful...⁣

I remember being so sore with shin splints and swollen ankles. I remember the side cramps I got while running. I remember my shallow breathing.⁣

IF ONLY I had a program like the one I am starting on Monday back then!⁣

A program that trains me like a real runner. A program that cues me on form, teaches me how to control my breathing, strengthens me during resistance training sessions, and shows me how to fuel my body properly.⁣

THIS is what I needed back then when I was new to running. ⁣

So if you’re new to running, let’s do this together! The Hogwarts Running Club is starting prep week on Monday and Day 1 on the 19th! ✨⁣
