Dr. Miguel A. Soto, DSW, LCSW-S, LCDC, LCCA is a bilingual (English/Spanish) clinical social worker, supervisor, trainer, and cultural influencer whose work bridges mental health, leadership, and artistic expression. Licensed in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, he specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions, integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy to support meaningful, real-world change.

Dr. Soto currently serves at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Medical Center, where he provides critical support to veterans and their families within complex systems of care. He is also the founder of the HOPE World Institute, a PLLC through which he provides clinical supervision for LMSWs pursuing LCSW licensure, as well as accessible online therapeutic services. As a Texas Board Approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor, he is dedicated to developing the next generation of clinicians through ethical leadership, culturally responsive care, and practical skill-building.

Grounded in social justice, resilience, and community impact, Dr. Soto’s influence extends beyond clinical spaces. He is also a pioneer in the Latin urban music genre Reggaeton, known artistically as Mikey Perfecto (Tío Mikey)—a Grammy-winning composer and foundational voice of the movement. With a catalog of over 200 songs and contributions to iconic projects such as “La Negra Tiene Tumbao,” his artistic legacy bridges generations of Latin music and culture.

Through music, poetry, and storytelling, Mikey Perfecto explores healing, identity, faith, and resilience—bringing the same depth and authenticity found in his clinical work to a global audience. His unique ability to merge clinical expertise with cultural expression positions him as a transformative voice at the intersection of mental health, leadership, and the arts.

Across every platform—clinical, educational, and creative—Dr. Soto’s mission remains clear:
to heal, empower, and elevate individuals and communities through knowledge, culture, and truth.
