We are beyond proud of what our 6th grade CTE and STEAM Makerspace students are accomplishing at both SCMS and CCMS!

At Slayter Creek Middle School, Ms. Bryant’s students were given a challenge to invent a prototype that solves a problem at school. Make sure your sound is ON for the video clip to hear one of our talented students explain her genius idea: the "Lanyard Library"! 🎧👇

Over at Clemons Creek Middle School, for enrichment, Ms. Merrill’s 6th graders got five 3D printers running last week. Exactly seven days later, they are officially open for business! They’re printing doorstops for CCMS staff orders, and one 6th-grade team is even redesigning whistles for teachers to use on duty! 🖨️✨

This is what happens when we let students take the lead. They troubleshoot, innovate, and figure things out. It is the perfect example of Anna ISD's Portrait of a Graduate—building adaptable, self-sufficient & innovative problem-solvers.

Shoutout to our rockstar 6th grade Makerspace teacher team at CCMS—Ms. Merrill, Ms. Vance, and Mr. Alcosiba! 👏✨
Last week, this amazing team collaborated to plan and guide students through their first paper engineering invention project! 📄💡 After building and testing their inventions, students reflected on what it truly means to be a great teammate. 🤝
We even had a 6th grader step up to troubleshoot and help get two 3D printers up and running! Talk about incredible enrichment for fast finishers! 🛠️
In Anna ISD CTE, you’re never too young to build real-world habits. We start practicing essential employability skills—like collaboration, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting—right from the start! 🌟

Hands-on learning in action! 🛠️🌾

Our Ag Mech students were out at Three Oaks Ranch today installing a custom metal gate as part of our ongoing community partnership! Under the direction of teacher London Grove, students put their skills to work on-site. 🚜✨

A huge shout-out to our AHS Assistant Principal over CTE, Mr. Damon Emery! 👏 He jumped right in alongside our students and staff—even showing everyone a cool trick to check the level using a phone app!📱📐

We love having leadership that gets hands-on to support Career & Technical Education. Thank you to Mr. Emery and Three Oaks Ranch for making learning like this possible! 🙌🔥
