Today we’re rolling out the red carpet for our amazing bus drivers for School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! 🎬✨

Rain or shine, early mornings and late afternoons, our drivers safely transport our students with care, patience, and a smile. They are often the first and last faces our students see each day—and they make a LASTING impact on our students more than they know!

Thank you for keeping our students safe, showing kindness, and being such an important part of our Wooden family. We appreciate you more than words (and cookies) can ever say! 🚌💛

Our World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser brought the excitement this year! Students who raised the most money in each grade level earned a chance to step inside the 💨 MONEY MACHINE 💨 and grab as much cash as they could!

The smiles, the laughter, and the flying bills made for an unforgettable moment—what a fun way to celebrate their hard work and dedication! We are so proud of our top sellers for going above and beyond to support our school. 👏

🎓 Senior Walk – Class of 2026 🎓

We are so excited to welcome back the Class of 2026 (our former Wooden students!) as they walk our halls one last time! 💙💛

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents/Guardians of SENIORS are welcome to attend!

📋 PLEASE READ – PREREGISTRATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED
If you plan to attend, please fill out the Google Form below to register the names of all adults who will be visiting that day.

✅ Parents who preregister will have printed badges ready upon arrival
✅ Your driver’s license will be pre‑scanned (ID required the day of)
⏱️ This will help you skip the line and enter quickly

🚫 Parents who do not preregister will still be allowed to attend, but will need to wait in line on the day of the Senior Walk to have their license scanned in the office.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4–8 at Wooden Elementary! 🌷

We truly couldn’t have picked a better bunch of teachers and staff at Wooden! 🌼 Their kindness, patience, dedication, and love help our students bloom a little more each day.

We invite our families to help us plant a little extra joy for our teachers through simple acts of appreciation—flowers, favorite drinks, snacks, drawings, notes, or sweet words that remind them how much they mean to your child.

A little gratitude can grow into something beautiful, and our teachers deserve every bit of it for the way they help our students learn, grow, and shine each day. 🌸✨

While our older Hawks were focused on testing, our kindergartners were busy creating their own unforgettable scenes in the library! 📚🎬✨

From dinosaur crafts and building with blocks to dramatic play and hands-on imagination, these little learners turned library time into an adventure. We even spotted future chefs, construction workers, and lots of creative minds hard at work! 🦕🧱👩‍🍳🚧

At Wooden, learning happens everywhere—through books, play, creativity, and exploration. Even during testing days, our youngest Hawks were still shining bright and making every moment count. 💙

🎉 Shoutout to our FIRST 3 second graders to master Reflex in addition AND subtraction! 🧠⚡️

Your hard work, focus, and determination are paying off in a BIG way—we are so proud of you! Keep shining and showing what dedication can do! 🌟👏

🚨 Late post alert… but too important not to celebrate! 🎬✨

Please help us congratulate Mrs. Claudia Villanueva, our newest Employee of the Month! ❤️

Mrs. Villanueva is a true example of teamwork in action at Wooden. As our bilingual reading support teacher and dyslexia therapist, she works tirelessly behind the scenes each day, meeting with multiple groups of students, supporting teachers, and making sure every child gets exactly what they need to be successful. Her work may often happen quietly, but the impact she makes across our campus is huge. 🌟

She consistently goes above and beyond, giving her time and energy not only to her students, but also to additional district events, afterschool clubs, and campus initiatives. She is always willing to step in where needed, putting students and Wooden first with a servant heart and positive attitude.

Mrs. Villanueva has a special way of balancing kindness and gentleness while still pushing students to grow, make progress, and believe in themselves. She sees the potential in every child and works daily to help them become the shining stars they are meant to be. 🌟

She also gives her time to our multicultural committee, helping create meaningful opportunities for students and strengthening the sense of belonging that makes Wooden such a special team. Her dedication, collaboration, and quiet leadership truly show what it means to be a Hawk.

In our Lights, Camera, Learn! production, Mrs. Villanueva is one of those essential team members behind the scenes who helps every scene come together beautifully. 🎥 Because of her, our students shine brighter, our staff feels supported, and our campus is stronger.
