College Station FFA was excited to partner with Texas AgriLife to help provide hands-on learning opportunities for new Extension agents from across the state!

Over two days, time was spent learning in the CTE Center and working directly with livestock through animal health checks, validation, show preparation, and much more.

A huge thank you to Dottie with Texas AgriLife for inviting us to be a part of this experience, and to Clay Cole, Josh Kouns, and Sierra Stephens for sharing their industry knowledge while using CSISD livestock to provide meaningful, hands-on instruction. We are also grateful for all of the other speakers who gave their time and expertise throughout the two-day event!

We hope this experience not only helped prepare new Extension agents for the work ahead, but also highlighted the strong relationship between FFA and 4-H. At the end of the day, both organizations share the same goal: creating opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and become their best. 💙💛🍀
