Giving kids a financial education is not about making them rich.

It’s about giving them the tools they need to successfully navigate the world around them.

Money is not the most important thing in life…
But in many ways, it’s a lot like oxygen.

We need it to take care of the things we want…
and the things we truly NEED. ❤️

To truly learn about money, kids need to have money.
But simply giving them money isn’t enough — they need opportunities to earn it.

Kids spend money very differently when it’s their own.

Earning money early helps teach responsibility, confidence, and the value of hard work.

This is one that EVERYONE should take note of. I have seen so many people waste money trying to impress others. My mother always told me: ‘You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how little they actually think about you.’

Unfortunately, financial literacy has long been lacking in our education system. Parents were never taught how money works, so how are they expected to talk to their kids about money?

Delayed gratification is a valuable life skill in so many ways, including financial literacy. Start this early. Repetition and consistency are key!

Not all learning takes place in a classroom. Kids are watching everything we do. Use this to teach valuable lessons, including financial literacy!

This should be one of the first lessons you learn when it comes to your finances... pay yourself first!

A University of Cambridge study found that kids start to understand basic money concepts by age 3, and many of their money habits are set by age 7! That's why it is important to start money conversations early!

Most kids are taught how to SPEND money…
But very few are taught how to EARN it.

And earning changes everything.

A child who works for their money thinks differently about money.

That lesson can start as early as helping around the house…
Then grow into pet sitting, babysitting, lawn care, small businesses, summer jobs & more as they get older.
