Well, another school year is in the books. Teachers and parents, I hope you feel proud of everything you accomplished with your students and children this year. Students, I hope you learned life-changing lessons, made incredible friends, and discovered something new about yourself along the way.

Whether you’re retiring, changing careers, or moving on to another level of learning, never stop growing, learning, and using your voice to make a difference in your community.

Last week of school over here and whew… what a journey.
As this school year comes to a close, I’m sitting with a lot of gratitude. The laughter, lessons, chaos, growth, and all the little moments in between have meant so much.

And here’s a big realization… this upcoming school year will be my LAST one before retirement. 🙌🏾 Thirty-one years in education and one final chapter ahead.
I’m going to soak up every moment.

May 4–May 8, 2026, and National Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday, May 5.
I’m filled with gratitude and truly feel blessed that God chose this path for me. As I get closer to retirement, I find myself reflecting on what has been built… and I’m so proud.
Proud of the children I’ve had the pleasure of teaching.
Proud of the families who trusted me to walk alongside them. Proud of the advocacy, the guidance, and the love poured into this work over 30+ years.
Little Elm STEAM Academy is more than a school. It’s purpose. It’s calling. It’s legacy.
