Just a friendly reminder of a few things:
1. Please sign the permission slip for our field trip to SMU. We will be leaving on the 11th of November to do to a college tour of SMU and to see a demonstration of a physics lesson.
2. All students will need to bring a sack lunch for this field trip. We will be having lunch at SMU.
3. We are leaving for camp on November 30th around 10:00 AM and will be returning Dec 2nd around 1:00 PM
4. Students will need to bring a sack lunch for that first day. Dinner and all other meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) will be provided while at camp.
5. If you are a camp counselor, there will be a camp counselor meeting on 11/10/2016 in the 5th grade hallway. Please, be sure that you have completed the background check before we go to camp. If you will not be able to attend this meeting, then please let Mrs. Spangrud or Mr. Ireland know so that they may send you the information via email.

It's that time again for the yearly Mitchell Elementary PTA Annual Silent Auction!
This year’s online auction will be held from Sunday, October 9th through Wednesday, October 19th.
It is one of our biggest fundraisers to help in supporting all the fun activities and events that are held throughout the school year at Mitchell Elementary!
Our grade level’s theme is: Pets.
Please drop off items that fit within this theme, for example: dog toys, cat treats, pet beds in the grade level donation boxes located near the front office. The deadline to have all donated items in is Thursday, October 6th, 2016.

Your 5th graders will be coming home today with two registration cards for Frankford Middle School. These registration cards are due by 1/29/16. Please, try to have these cards turned in as soon as possible. If it happens to get lost before then, please do not hesitate to contact your student's homeroom teacher.

Please remember that this Friday is early release. Students will get out of school at noon. Also, report cards will be going home Friday. So, please check with your students that afternoon. Winter Break starts the next day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 5th.

Hello parents,
Just a few reminders regarding our Collin County Adventure Camp trip:
•A "bring to camp list" was sent home with your student last week. If you have not seen this list, please contact any of the 5th grade teachers via email.
•Students should arrive at school at the regular school time on Monday (7:15am-7:30am)
•Camp counselors should arrive at Mitchell at 9:00am.
•Camp is located in Westminster, TX.
•We will leave around 10:00am Monday morning, and we will return around 12:00pm on Wednesday afternoon.
•Students should bring a lunch on Monday because this first lunch is not provided. All other meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, will be provided by camp.
•Please do not bring any electronics(cell phones, digital cameras, iPads, iPods, etc.). If you would like to bring a camera, it is preferred that you bring a disposable camera.
•Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities. Do not bring any expensive clothes, shoes, or jewelry. Be prepared to walk and get a bit dirty.
