Had a walk through memory lane last week as The Fly Jock, Tom Joyner, stopped by to catch some laughs. Myra J, (far right) a member of the legendary Tom Joyner Morning Show crew, hosted the comedy show where longtime writer, Mary Boyce, (next to me) showed off her comedy chops. Also pictured is producer-extraordinaire Kim Nelson-Ingram and expert account Angela Carlyle who cheered on Myra J and Mary. Not pictured here is another member of the crew, J. Anthony Brown, dropped a few gems as well.

Actor BD Wong has a career arc that has cut across the generations. Some of you may have seen him in his Tony-award winning performance in M Butterfly. Many others may remember him in his role as Dr. George Huang on Law & Order: SVU and still some of you may only know him as Dr. George Wu, the diabolical scientist in the latest Jurassic Park movies. And, yea, there’s so much more. Of course, we’ll have to talk about the historic Oscars where Michelle Yeoh became the academy’s first female Asian to in its 95 year history.
