Last October, our lovely friends over at Hey Love Studio captured our students’ portraits so beautifully.
Every picture felt natural and professional for our students. Their work really goes beyond photos; they create spaces where people feel seen, comfortable, and confident in front of the camera!
We are incredibly grateful for their talent and the care they bring to every session, and we are looking forward to working with them again!
As graduation season approaches, we highly recommend checking out their grad portrait package. Their style is candid, vibrant, and full of real emotion, making every photo feel authentic.
Thank you again for capturing HLSA students so thoughtfully.

This year, Hispanic Heritage Month runs from 9/15-10/15. Hispanic Heritage Month is a time for us to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Hispanic Americans. Throughout the month, we will be posting about individuals and events that help bring attention to Hispanic American society, so keep an eye out!
Today, we celebrate the history of SMU’s Hispanic Law Student Association. HLSA was established in 1982. We continue to function today to help Hispanic students find opportunities and support during their legal careers.

Blanca's favorite memories has been meeting her law school best friends through HLSA and representing SMU by attending local Hispanic community events including the MABA-Dallas Gala and Dallas Hispanic Bar Association’s Noche de Luz.
Blanca would like to give a special shoutout to Alexis, Jessica, Izzi, and Javi for keeping her sane all year and for making this an amazing year for HLSA.

Lauren will be joining Clark Hill Law as a General Litigation Associate. Her favorite law school memory is when she was in legal writing telling friends that someone had gone through stuff in her car that morning. When they asked how they got in, Lauren told them that she had the habit of never locking her car. The whole class got involved in a debate - well actually, it was just Lauren trying to explain herself to the class. As Professor Birdsong walked in and asked what all the ruckus was about, they told her in exasperation that Lauren would never lock her car, and Professor Birdsong responded, “Oh! Me neither.”
