DBU created Professional Studies over 40 years ago to meet the special demands of busy adult learners like you. Come finish your degree!

1898- Decatur Baptist College is founded by a group of Texas Baptists as a two-year college.
1965- Decatur Baptist College is relocated to the foothills of Dallas.
1974- The College of Professional Studies is founded.
1985- Decatur Baptist College is renamed Dallas Baptist University. Today, DBU offers students the ability to choose from 73 majors on the undergraduate level, 31 master’s degree pr
