Flamenco Guitar Conservatory

Hello friends! I will be teaching guitar in Plano starting in January with the Plano Parks and Recreation Department.

I've written a beginners curriculum that takes someone from complete novice to what I feel is a pretty serviceable guitar player.

The curriculum is broken into five 6-Week chunks and we start at the very beginning (how to hold and tune a guitar) and by the end we are covering some foundational music theory and improvisation.

I feel like this is a very thorough and systematic approach to playing the guitar. If you or someone you know lives in Plano please reach out so I can keep you in the loop.

Flamenco guitar is a terrific foundation for any style of music because of the complexity of the rhythms, melodies, and harmonies, as well as the techniques used with both the right and left hands. Usually it is very intimidating to pursue but I have broken it down in a logical and systematic way so that each step builds upon the last.

This curriculum is perfect for someone who has never even picked up the guitar but for those more familiar with the instrument I can tailor it to you as well.
