Our NCTX Pathways Leadership Team along with economic development, educational staff, & Jobs for the Future were thrilled to host a strategic planning session at Forney Independent School District’s - Opportunity Central! This innovative CTE campus partners with local industry partners to provide hands-on work based learning experiences for students while serving the community in unique ways. This campus should serve as a model for other districts and a best practice guide for work based learning. Our team is engaged in research and data analysis leading to a strategic plan including a North Central Texas (WDA 4 Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas) asset map and gap analysis provided to the tri-agency including Texas Workforce Commission , the Texas Education Agency, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
