I have been attempting to write this post for a few days, so here it is in all of it vulnerable and transparency glory.
My brother was killed in 1992, my mother wrote this play, "New Day Black Man" in 1993. It was therapy for her to heal for the lost of her only son and to honor him as the new man he was becoming. Now here it is 20+ years later and have the privilege to honor her for her lifetime of work as a playwright, poet, lyricist, and storyteller. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about four years ago and while she is still here I want her to see her own work.
Will you help me honor her?
All cast members have a fundraising goal. I have to reach a fundraising goal for my two cast members, Skyla and Kale. I They are extremely excited to pay tribute to their grandmother. We need to sell 10 tshirts ($15), and ten supporter listings for the banner ($50). If you work with kids in any capacity, you Nurture Inspire and Affirm them. If you are a supporter or business owner, your name/business will be displayed at all of our events this year. Help me teach my goal!!! Help me honor her!! Inbox me to order and/or for more details! Deadline 2/16/19.
We also have tickets for sell. The show is March 2nd @ 3:00 and 7:00. Purchase tickets at
