Growing Forward: A Self-Advocacy Journey for Adults with FASD

Growing Forward: A Self-Advocacy Journey for Adults with FASD Helping adults with FASD discover themselves, find their voice, and live with purpose through education, self-advocacy, community, and practical life skills.

🌱 Welcome to Growing Forward!

Growing Forward was created for adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) who want to better understand themselves, build confidence, strengthen self-advocacy skills, and discover purpose.

Receiving an FASD diagnosis can bring many emotions—relief, confusion, hope, and unanswered questions. Too often, adults receive a diagnosis without having a place to learn what it means or how to use that knowledge to build a life where they can thrive not just survive.

Here, we believe every person has strengths. Like a garden, growth happens at different times and in different ways. With the right supports, encouragement, and opportunities, everyone can continue to grow.

Growing Forward is built on the belief that self-advocacy begins with understanding yourself.

Together we'll explore practical life skills, executive functioning strategies, relationships, employment, education, purpose, and finding your voice—all through an FASD-informed lens.

🌱 Discover Yourself.
🗣️ Find Your Voice.
❤️ Live with Purpose.

Thank you for being here. We're glad you've joined the journey.

Growth happens one season at a time..

Together, we'll explore strengths, build practical strategies, develop confidence, and grow toward greater interdependence and self-understanding.

🌱 We look forward to welcoming our first Growing Forward community in Spring 2027.

If you're comfortable, introduce yourself in the comments. We'd love to know where you're joining from and what "growing forward" means to you.
