If you thought the soccer season was over, think again. Heartland Middle School is in the middle of their season, and we're excited about the impact some of these players will have on the Crandall High in the future.

The first six photos are from the 8th grade boys, the last four are from 7th grade. Follow the link for both galleries: https://bit.ly/4cJd0oc

We officially broke ground on Crandall ISD’s seventh elementary school, which is named in honor of Danny R. Baker. The event included gold shovels and hard hats, intricately designed cookies and souvenir dirt, along with lots of smiles and excitement about the future.

At Dr. Murry's most recent Student Advisory Council at Central Middle School, the topic was safety and security.

Keith Chapman, who is retiring as Executive Director of Emergency Operations, and his successor Bryan Welch visited with the students to learn what they already know about safety and security in Crandall ISD, and what the district can do to improve its policies.

Congratulations to all of our Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Designees! All 36 of these teachers were honored at the April school board meeting, and they serve as a benchmark for excellence across Crandall ISD.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment was established by the Texas Education Agency to recognize and reward the most effective educators in the state. By meeting rigorous standards for student growth and classroom performance, these teachers have earned a formal "Designation" on their Texas teaching certificate. This program not only celebrates their hard work but also provides significant additional funding to help us keep our best educators right here in our classrooms.

Trustee Crystal Holmes may have missed her calling – she's a natural behind the anchor desk.

During today's campus walks, our Board of Trustees stopped by the Pirate TV studio at CHS. We love seeing our leaders connect with students and see their hard work firsthand.

You can watch Season 3, Episode 26 of Pirate TV – and previous episodes – on their YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/). Their next episode will post Friday April 24.

Crandall ISD officially broke ground on our seventh elementary school earlier this week. We look forward to sharing photos from the ceremony soon.

In the meantime, we are re-posting this video from April 2025, when the district first announced the name of Danny R. Baker Elementary. It’s a good opportunity to get to know the namesake of our newest campus.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! Our campuses run smoothly because of the work you do every day behind the scenes. Thank you for supporting our students, staff, and families.
