September is Attendance Awareness Month.

Crandall ISD has a district-wide goal of 95% attendance on every campus, every day. In middle and high school, regular attendance is one of the single best indicators of staying on track to graduate on time.

Crandall ISD is preparing students to graduate with a diploma and a career!

We are beginning a new video series highlighting Crandall ISD’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. We’re shining a spotlight on pathways that allow students to earn professional certifications before graduation.

Our first video features our Cosmetology program. When these students graduate and pass their required licensing exams, they are fully certified to begin working as licensed professionals immediately.

CHS students got a peek into the future with the annual College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Fair. Sixty institutions set up stations in the gym and met with juniors and seniors during two sessions on Thursday morning.

Heartland Middle School band students hosted a "Musical Gallery Walk" to celebrate the end of their rhythm unit. Our students got to write their own beats and collaborate like true professional musicians. 🎶

Superintendent Dr. Anjanette Murry even joined in the fun, grabbing a tuba mouthpiece to test out her own brass skills alongside our students.

Maintenance & Operations, or M&O, funding supports the day-to-day operation of a school district. M&O funds may be used for employee compensation and other operating expenses authorized under Texas law.

Bond funds are different. They are used for capital projects such as facilities and major renovations.

Tacos with the Team is back! 🌮🎉

Last week, Crandall ISD Cabinet and administrators served tacos to teachers and staff at Walker Elementary. It’s our way of saying thank you for their hard work, and we can't wait to visit all remaining campuses and district departments throughout the year.
