Did you know our camp is named after Jean-Michel Basquiat, a self-taught artist Puerto Rican / Haitian American, who broke barriers in the art world? Camp Schedule Day 1: Art and Life in Africa Day 2: Bearden at a Glance Day 3: Jamel Shabazz “Say Cheese” Day 4: Say it Loud Day 5: Ase’: Art of Exhibition In addition to our @blackhistory365education resources and camp curriculum we will use Positive Living Promoting Your Purpose curriculum, each day will conclude with a Talking Circle, where students will engage in culturally affirming affirmations, fostering a sense of community and support among participants. #basquiat #dfwsummercamp #blackhistory365
