Whether you celebrate Rosh Hashanah or not, it’s officially apple season! This week, we worked on scissor and cutting skills. Some children are working on just opening and closing scissors to snip a paper while others are beginning to work on curves lines. It’s all about meeting the children where they’re at!

A multi sensory approach to learning is key 🔑. In this multi-step activity, we traced numbers and letters with play-doh and then used Wet-Dry-Try to practice with repetition! Incorporating visual and tactile sensations into learning numbers and letters while also working on fine motor skills and pencil grip all in one activity!

Virtual school got you in a bind? Roots to Grow is offering VERY small handwriting groups for a fun, safe, hands-on approach to learning correct letter formation and pencil grasp. We focus on age and developmental appropriateness to learning and incorporate fine and gross motor activities to support your child’s growth. Afternoon slots still available. Don’t delay!
