Yes, in Texas all UIL schools must have AEDs.

BUT! How about youth sports leagues and clubs? No requirement.

It is astonishing that this has not become the norm in ALL 50 states.

Thankfully, in Texas all UIL coaches MUST be CPR and First Aid Trained.

The legislation also will require schools to have automated external defribrillators (AEDS) develop and rehearse emergency action plans for cardiac incidents.

This video is great. One other tidbit is Epinephrine Auto Injector storage. It is HOT in Texas in the summer. Do NOT leave these in your vehicle and protect them from sunlight. All three manufactures state storage should be 68°F to 77°F. Yikes, this won't happen in your vehicle in the summer. If you are going to leave them in your vehicle they must be in a cooler.
