Pull from your life. Conversations with my son through the years teach me so much about goal driven dialogue. He knew I was frustrated with him - look how brilliantly he took my annoyed mood to joy. And this story has it all - a conflict caused by action, a ticking clock, a clear relationship, character strategy and a change in emotion based on what the character’s need, which can be different than what they think they want.

Lady Kings of Texas - Film and Storytelling | Seed&Spark Lady Kings of Texas is a 90-minute dark comedy feature film that explores the potential consequences of a post-Roe future. Laugh, cry, and fight back with us as we challenge those who believe women should not have control over decisions concerning their bodies.

One of the exercises we do in class are structured, improvised monologues. I give you the circumstance, your goal and obstacle and you speak in support of what you want. These are usually some of the rawest, most amazing moments. The actor becomes a part of the writing process by a true understanding of the character and actively doing in the moment.
