I’m not gonna lie…I was lowkey looking forward to the trial 👀🍿 like I just know it would’ve been a whole thing.

Can we talk about how weirdly hard it is to make mom friends when you move to a new community?
I joined a local mom group and their monthly meetup was at the movies. So I went. By myself. Trying to put myself out there.
And honestly… it was SO awkward.
I sat alone the entire movie.
Afterwards, everyone naturally broke off into little groups of women who clearly already knew each other. I tried to jump in, smiled, made eye contact… but it still felt uncomfortable and forced.
I left without really making a single connection and it honestly made me question myself.
Is this just how mom groups are?
Do you have to already know someone to be welcomed in?
Or should I have tried harder and pushed through the awkwardness?
Be honest…Have you found it easy or hard to make mom friends after moving? Is it cliquey… or am I overthinking it?
I can’t be the only one feeling this way 😅
