UPDATE: Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026 | 3 p.m.

After careful consideration for anticipated road conditions and extreme temperatures, Dallas ISD will remain closed Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026. All athletic events and practices (indoor and outdoor) are postponed. The district will reopen Wednesday.

Instructional days will be made up on:
Monday, April 6
Monday, May 4

For updates, please continue to monitor the district’s website, social media channels, or local media.

Today we were honored to have Mr. Sean Corbett, Regional Director of Texas Operations for 22nd Century Technologies, Inc., serve as our Principal for a Day!

He shared powerful words of wisdom with our students about life after high school, discovering their purpose, and finding the right fit—reminding them that success comes from staying curious, adaptable, and true to themselves.

Mr. Corbett, you are officially part of the Gilliam family, and we can’t wait to welcome you back soon! 💛💙

Guess what? Our very own Coach White just soared above the rest—literally! He’s been named 2024 Airman of the Year for not one, but TWO major awards:

🏆 507th Mission Support Group
🏆 507th Air Refueling Wing at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma

Teaching high schoolers AND winning awards in the Air Force? That’s a combo you don’t see every day. If he can handle a classroom of teens, refueling planes must be a breeze!

Next time you see Coach White give him a high five, a salute, or just ask them what it’s like to be a real-life superhero.
