Today in Mr. Hernandez’s Principles of Agriculture class, they put the FFA 3-Ring Model into action by making slime! Students explored how Classroom/Laboratory Instruction, SAE, and FFA all work together to create a well-rounded agricultural education experience.

Just like slime needs the right combination of ingredients to come together, successful agricultural education needs all three parts of the FFA 3-Ring Model!

It was a fun, hands-on way to see that learning agriculture isn’t just about sitting in a classroom. It’s about learning, doing, leading, and growing.

Kyle, Alex, and Aiden all finished in the TOP 20.

And a huge shoutout to Lillie, who finished 6th overall.

💚🏹 WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST DAY! 🏹💚

Day 1 at Howard Junior High is officially in the books! We couldn’t let the day end without marking the occasion with a photo of some of the incredible people who helped make today such a success.

Our staff showed up ready to welcome, encourage, guide, and support our students—and we are so excited for the year ahead!

📢 Howard Junior High Registration Update

We are happy to share that the Howard Junior High office is now back on campus!

While repairs continue, our office staff will be temporarily working from the Howard cafeteria. If you need to:

✅ Drop off registration paperwork or other documents
✅ Speak with someone regarding registration
✅ Ask registration-related questions

Please come to the right side of the building and enter through Door 21.

Please note:
Thursday, August 6th – All Waxahachie ISD staff will be attending the district Convocation. As a result, our registrar and office staff will be available from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. only.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue working through these temporary arrangements. We look forward to seeing you and are excited to welcome everyone back for another great year at Howard!
