More Dallas ISD students are leaving high school with college experience already completed. This year, 1,778 students participated in Dallas College graduation ceremonies through our P-TECH and ECHS pathways, a significant increase from 1,493 last year, and 1,334 students just two years ago.

These opportunities allow students to access tuition-free college coursework, industry aligned learning experiences, and workforce preparation while still in high school. The continued growth reflects the commitment of our campuses, families, college partners, and industry leaders working together to expand student access and success.

Challenge accepted 🍎

Dallas ISD students demonstrated what it means to be classroom ready at our recent Teacher Education Pathway Showcase. Students from Sunset, Brookhaven, W.T. White, Bryan Adams, Kimball, Rosie Sorrels, and Lincoln we challenged to design classroom environments and develop mini lessons for 2nd grade learners.

Industry partners evaluated each presentation using a professional rubric, offering feedback aligned to real-world expectations. Experiences like this strengthen the educator pipeline and ensure students are prepared to lead in the classroom.

Big moments. Bright futures. School pride on full display 🎓

P-TECH Signing Days are bringing campuses together to celebrate both new beginnings and exciting next steps. From incoming freshmen taking their first step into a pathway to seniors committing to their future careers, these events highlight the power of preparation and purpose.

With the support of industry partners and school leaders, our students are building pathways in education, technology, and healthcare that lead to real opportunities. The future is here, and it’s full of promise.

Future educators in the making, exploring what's next 🏫

Education Pathway students from Lincoln and Sunset stepped onto the campus of Texas A&M University Commerce, connecting with professors, current students, and future classmates. Moments like these help turn college dreams into clear, achievable goals.

A special thank you to our hosts at TAMU–Commerce for creating a welcoming and inspiring experience for our students. We appreciate you opening your doors!

We’re proud to celebrate Marely Angeles, a senior in the Associate of Arts-Hospitality pathway and part of the Lincoln High School B-TECH program!

Marely exemplifies resilience and a high-performance mindset. When faced with challenges in her coursework, she leaned in, refining her study habits, strengthening her time management, and pushing forward with discipline and focus. Beyond the classroom, she is a Dallas College Honors student, active in multiple honor societies, and an entrepreneur running her own business.

Marely’s journey is a powerful example of what’s possible through perseverance and determination.
